E-5 economic realities?

One must wonder, looking at the E-5 and it's use of the E-3 body, technology from the PEN with a few tweaks that the economic realities of the past two years must have had a lot to do with the way this camera came out. Don't forget that we were, and still are in very shaky financial times. I could see how Olympus did not want to risk huge R&D dollars with the potential of a total economic crash looming on the horizon.

This could be good news. They did not totally abandon the segment, and a potential brighter economic future could fuel more R&D for 4/3's. Remember also that Olympus said that development in the PEN series would be used in the 4/3 system. That is exactly what we got.
