At their default profiles for whatever camera, the other software seems to do better. Everything needs to be tweaked. I mean, Sony isn't custom calibrating individual IDC rendering software for individual cameras that they sell if there is so much apparent variation. Neither do the other companies with their raw conversion. Soooo, why is it that the baseline for the others is better than acr unless you make a custom profile? Is that really that hard to wrap your heads around? I've heard all the arguments and they don't hold water for me. I realize for editing and manipulation purposes, ease of use, speed, etc that adobe is a superior product. I'm saying their profiles for Sony camera raw sux and you guys are all telling me I' m wrong. If i have to custom calibrate a profile for every comp I use photoshop on, I don't think I am.
