GF-1 at ISO 3200 > RAW vs JPG
Sep 10, 2010

I just wanted to make a quick check of GF-1 noise level at ISO 3200 in low light and see if could get acceptable results playing with Lightroom 3.2 postprocessing.

Shot a photo of my desk under artificial light using my GF-1 + 14-45 lens set at 45mm f5.6 ISO 3200 and NR= -2. Saved picture in Raw+Jpg, then played with LR3 noise reduction panel to find out that I can actually use ISO 3200 setting, as long as I save RAW files.

Here is the outcome:

Thumbnail of picture taken in the room

1:1 out of camera jpeg picture

1:1 raw file processed with LR3 (LNR set at 70)

1:1 raw file unprocessed
