Software to display slideshow live during a shoot
Sep 9, 2010

We will be having a shoot that will be public, and we want to have a live slideshow going as the shoot is going on.

We used Lightroom 2.x for this last time. It was set to watch a folder and auto import and it was playing a slideshow from that folder while new pictures were imported into it. It stuttered a little when it loaded new images, but it worked. LR 3.2 doesn't seem to want to play new images that are imported while the slideshow is running.

Likely there is better software for this anyway. What do you suggest for playing a live slideshow during a photoshoot.

(This time we are using eye-fi for the tethering using WiFi and with our old 20D and a CF adapter it seems to be working well. It also works with the 5DII but the image size really makes it too slow for a live demonstration. Thus the 20D is showing us that it still has some life.)
