Using silkypix etc

After buying the LX5 I have become interested in trying out RAW processing. I have only shot JPEG until now and I have never even tweaked a JPEG!! (I feel a bit silly admitting that)

I was wondering whether silky pix can retouch JPEG's as well as RAW, is this possible?

I just tried out Panasonic's "photo fun" but to be honest it doesn't seem very good and not very intuitive, is it worth me persisting with it for any reason?

I remember someone on this forum talking about a Silkypix tutorial online somewhere, if anyone knows the link it would be greatly appreciated.
