Nikon P7000 vs Panasonic LX5

So I thought it would come to this...the LX5 and the P7000. Looking at one of these as my primary camera and after ordering the LX5 and it currently being shipping, wonder how this would compare with the P7000 if you have only one camera (for my purposes, video is irrelevant). As for price, the LX5 is at $499, which seems to be the same price as the P7000 when it comes out.
