How to get sharp picture with DPx camera

Browsing through many pictures I took with DP1 I noticed that most of them are not extremelly sharp. Usually I shoot handheld. I think about 2-3 % of pictures are very sharp and other are ok.

Is it normal? I guess sensor and lense is capable of sharp pictures but handheld shooting ruins this. Shure, when I shoot from tripod pictures are sharp.

So, how do you shoot with DPx to get a sharp pictures - or do you care at all in every day shoting about sharp pictures or it is not that important?
