Well I went out and bought the Nikon one and used it all day on a golf shoot. I have mixed feelings about it. The increased frame rate was great but when you use it vertically the way it is designed, by flipping the camera to the left, the controls feel great in the right hand but the camera and viewfinder rides high against my face taking an extra effort to stabilize it. When I flipped it to the right, the camera and view finder feel comfortable and stable against my face but the controls are all in the wrong hand so it's like shooting without the grip. However, by the end of the day it seemed more comfortable. I don't imagine using it often. It may be over priced but the shutter and wheel controls do feel just right.
