The mice that Apple ships with desktop Macs now have hardware right-button support.

Years before Apple was shipping two-button mice, Mac OS X supported them. When I bought an iMac G4 more than five years ago, I plugged in a Logitech USB mouse, and that's all there was to it. Right-clicking to get Finder contextual menus worked right away. The one-button Apple mouse went back in the box and I used the Logitech mouse ever since.

Mac users don't have a problem with interfaces that take advantage of the right button. Mac users do expect that right-button use is optional . E.g., if Adobe were to include right-button access to the most commonly-used filters in a program, that would be seen as good. If the program made right-clicking the only way to get to any filter, that would be seen as bad.

Sounds to me like your problem is with Adobe and their design choices.
