Buy a Canon 5D?

Hello Everyone,

I have been looking to buy a full frame camera. My first choice is 5D mark II. However, here in Australia, you get it for no less than AUD 4200 with the 24-105.

I came across a seller's site where they sell used equipment and they have the 5D listed for AUD 990. They have listed it as 'Good' condition ('Very Good' is their highest rating). Do you think it is worth the buy?

If yes, what should I be looking for when buying used camera body?

Also, the site has listed a 17-40 for AUD 749 (around AUD 1100 for a brand new lens). Do you think it will be a good companion to the 5D?
