Manual focus on G series

Hi All,

I have a G1 and a range of Canon FD manual focus lenses.

I enjoy using them but must admit I am frustrated with the multiple button press to engage manual focus assist.

Does the new G2 have a one touch manual focus option?

Is the function button of the G1 present on the new G series models & can it be set to engage manual focus assist?

Does anyone else share my frustration?
