LX3 luminance noise and effect of Firmware v2.2 on performance

This may have been debated before so pardon my ignorance, but I would like some informed comments on my problem of what looks like slight luminance noise at ISO200 RAW - a bit like a slight "frosted glass" very noticable at 100%. I guess it has already been there but looks more pronounced. Actually I took some pictures with the camera set at iA and the images seemed smoother than RAW but still sharp. Maybe Panasonic camera processing is doing something to remove this noise without affecting sharpness.

I am still at the original firmware supplied with an early version of the camera. Has upgraded users (v2.2) noticed any improvement in the quality of RAW images and less noise?

Other question: I use LR2.7. Has anyone noticed an improvement from using LR3 or PS5 with RAW6.1?
I look forward to receiving informed comments and suggestions.
