Two E1's, same conditions but different results

Something odd here. I have 2 Olympus E1 camera's and 1 Pana/Leica 14-50mm f2.8-3.5 zoom lens . I take 2 identical shots with each one at 50mm with the same lens. In both cases the Aperture is set at f5.6 in Aperture priority mode, iso at 100, WB set at Cloudy and in fact everything is set the same on both cameras including the firmware upgrades which I updated to version 1.5 on both cameras. The strange thing is that although all settings in the menu of both camera are set exactly the same an image taken of the same subject from the same position and with the same light conditions and only 30 seconds apart look different and show a different histogram. One is darker then the other. I shot in RAW and converted both using exactly the same steps to get the jpeg's. That is sharpening and brightness all set to the same levels. How can this be?
