HDR: CS5 vs. Photomatix
Aug 3, 2010

Adobe claims a substantial inprovement in HDR in CS5.

Can somebody refer to CS5/HDR vs. Photomatix, if possible, both for single photo and a set of bracketed ones?

While discussing this, something else bothers me. I'd expect that the HDR process would use "all avaiable" data, and thus use RAW files. If that's correct, I'd expect to see Adobe's HDR funtion built into ACR . However, Adobe has chosen first to convert the RAW file in ACR, assign a limiting color space, and only afterwards process the* "crippled" (relatively)* file in PS itself. Why?
