Drop in Circular Polarizer ( CPOL 42mm ) work with 500mm reflex?

Hello All:

Anyone here ever used the CPOL 42mm (the one for the 300mm 2.8) with the Sony 500mm reflex? Does it fit/work? How is the rotation achieved?
