Attach utility shoe to S90 for OVF

No I'm not joking or anything.
Has anyone thought about gluing a utility shoe (hot shoe) to the top of an S90 so as to use an optical viewfinder?
The OVF could be placed right over the lens, or somewhere else. A bright-line or a bright-lined viewer would be nice. (Too bad the flash is on the left side.) And not to hard to aim correctly when gluing with the assistance of the LCD. One, two, or three focal lengths could be lined.
