Image comparison program like ICompare?
Jul 20, 2010

I have an old Windows program ICompare which I have been using for the last 6 years to compare images to see which ones to keep and which ones to discard. For me, being able to use the entire monitor screen is a huge plus compared to programs which just show the images with the normal Windows clutter and/or with gaps between the images. Any number of images can be shown on one screen. All images can be zoomed and panned simultaneously.

1 is a screen print of the images with filenames shown

2 is zoomed in a bit with no filenames

3 is as 2 but with the images individually shifted using the keyboard to show the same area of the images

4 is again zoomed in and individually shifted

There is a problem that zooming in too far causes the program to crash, the display 4 is the maximum zoom attainable. It is still usable on my XP & Vista machines, but doubt that it would work on newer or 64bit operating systems.

Does anyone know of a comparable program? I have looked, but not found.
