Considering a Cannon Pixma Pro 9000MkII - any "gotcha's"?

One of the problems with picking your first photography printer is the sheer volume of options out there. I know i do not want to print larger than 13x19, so the size is right. Ink guzzlers need not apply (what scares me about Epson's). Seems like the dye printers provide longer life than pigments on the whole, so I'm covered there. And for around $400, this looks to be a pretty decent "bang for the buck".
Is there anything I'm not considering, any "gotcha's", that I should be aware of? I'm brand agnostic, but I will be printing using Lightroom 3, Photoshop Elements 8, and my 27" iMac, if that makes any difference.
