Why no NEX AF with A-mount lenses?
Jul 10, 2010

Several times I have seen posts that say that it is impossible or, at least, very difficult for the NEX contrast AF to work with phase-detect AF A-mount lenses. Can someone explain what is meant by this? I know the basics of the two types of AF, but I don't understand why the A-mount lens is a problem. Can't the NEX body just adjust focus until it gets it right with an A-mount lens just like it can with an E-mount lens? Thanks.
