Which One?

Which of these photos do you like the best? I shot them both from the same location but a different direction. I hoped to portray the sense of wide open spaces, but don't think it worked. If the horizon looks unlevel it's because it really was. The camera was level.

The reason I'm asking in the Beginner's Forum is I'd also like the advice of beginners.

I used different RAW editors to convert them and different editing methods. The first is Nikon's Capture NX II and the second is Photoshop CS5 with ACR 6.1.

What do you like and what do you not like about either? Which is the best in your mind? Any suggestions on improvement are welcome. Thanks in advance.
