Lens Cleaning Question

Hi all

A simple, basic question that I wanted to ask the pros: how do you do routine lens cleaning? I try to be meticulous when it comes to keeping my lenses clean but wondered if I'm doing it right.

I brush off dust and if there is a smudge/mark/whatever I'll try a LensPen first, then a moistened lens tissue (moisened with cleaning fluid). I try not to use those microfiber clothes - figure they just collect and hold whatever they've wiped off before. So far this seems to work but I've only been back to the SLR world for about a year.
