d5000 image stabilization

Looking to buy a D5000 (or canon t2i - still on the fence). quick question - is the stabilization in the body or the lens? And if the lens, would it be in the standard kit lens? I'm also planning to buy a 18-200 lens and would need to make sure that it would have the stabilization if it is indeed in the lens.
