7d Indoor photography

Hi,

Last saterday night I made pictures during a party in a bar in my hometown. I used the 7d with a 17-55mm 2.8 lens. I had the ISO at 1250-1600 and the aperture at 2.8. I made about 60 pictures and almost 30 of them were blurred. What kind of setting should I use to score a higher keeperrate
