If you just want to experiment with odd colors anything you can cut and fit to the flash has potential. Just grab a knife or scissors and some gaffer's tape. Be aware of the risk of melting, or even fire if you use a modeling light.

If you need to match colors professional products are cheap and readily available. The Roscoe swatch books are large enough for most hotshoe flashes and give you a huge variety, or check out the strobist assortments available from Midwest and (I think) B&H. Sheet material for larger lights is only about $6 a sheet last time I bought any.
