Adobe Bridge CS5 and AVCHD conflict

Hi, I have Panasonic ZS3, and I tried to upload my test movie file that I took in AVCHD format. I could not locate the movie file. Instead I got a lot of unrecognizable files with different extentions - .BDM, .TID, .TOT, VPL, .PTS to name a few. No problems uploading JPEG movie. I like AVCHD as it takes up less space on card.

Please suggest any way to get around this, if this is a known issue.

I use a Mac.
