Hi - I just got a new NEX-5 on Friday and have had very little chance to play with it as I was away this weekend.
However, I suspect it may be faulty. The camera works perfectly, but the control wheel makes a loud clacking noise every now and again as you spin it around. Something like 2 "clacks" per revolution.
I am not talking about the normal click per 20 degree turn, nor the click when you depress north, south east or west. This "clack" seems to be quite random and much louder.
Does anyone elses do this? As I say the camera works fine, but the noise is a llittle disconcerting - the clack doesn't correspond to anything having been selected.
Also, I am concerned that in a few months it may stop working because of some mechanical failure, and then I will be looking at a lengthy repair.
Is it a send it back job? Or do they all sound like this?
