OT: Latest NASA warning: we're doomed !

So according to news agencies, NASA is warning that massive solar flare activity is due in the next few years, so strong that there is a good chance that it will wipe out electronic equipment across the globe. One 'minor' effect of this would be to render our digital cameras, lenses, computers, cars, etc., useless, but more serious would be the likely starvation and anarchy ensuing from the electricity grids going off line, water supplies going down (pumping stations need electricity), etc., etc.

Time to think again about investing in a new NEX system ?!

Maybe DPReview needs to consider grading new cameras for whether they have EMP protection?!
