Why is one picture sharp and another not?
Jun 14, 2010

Took these two in quick succession. P-mode, one shot AF, center point activated manually. No recomposing. Focus point right in the middle of the picture. One is sharp, one not. I get this pretty frequently, especially when shooting faces and focussing on the eyes. First though my lens was front focussing, but since it's 50/50, what can be the cause of this?

I'm still not sure if it's me, the camera or the lens (17-55 IS). Fact is, I don't seem to be getting this with my other lens (Sigma 18-200).
