Goodbye Zoom

I have used zooms for 40 years: Canon and Olympus film, Oly 3030, Nikon D40x, Canon G10, and now E-P1, lots of lenses. Based on this forum I bought the Pany 20 1.7 3 months ago. "Zoom with your feet!" Yeah, Yeah. After using it almost exclusively (except for the extremes, long telephoto and wide-angle), I used the 14-42 at a Humane Society dogwash yesterday. I then understood what that phrase meant. Unknowingly I had been gradually, unconsciously totally won over to the prime and found the zoom awkward and clunky. Since the Pany I have picked up some legacy primes and am still struggling with MF WO VF, but "Zoom with your feet." What a sense of freedom and photographic creativity!
