Re: Nikon Hong Kong Service Level
In reply to Ed, Oct 11, 2002

The ladies have been working there for more than 10 years. I had my D100 upgraded in 5 minutes at 1:30 p.m. But I don't find much difference on version 2. The sharpness is about the same, but a bit brighter on V2.0.

I have 2 lens cleaned, 1 lens repaired, FM2 metering adjusted and
on-camera flash repaired on my ex-F601, all with satisfatory
results, the turnaround time was not impressive though averaging 2
to 4 weeks. The customer service level is average to good, the
reps (mostly ladies) receiving your equipments in general are quite
knowledgeble. I would think your 5 minutes firmware upgrade can be
done while you wait, call and find out, the location is convenient
at Tai Koo Shing shopping mall.

I would like to have my D1x ROM, buffer upgrade as well as CCD
cleaning and some minor fix to be done at Nikon Hong Kong.

Anyone would like to give comments on their customer service level
before I go for this?

Thanks.
