Nikon sports lens on a budget

Hello to all!! thaks for reading this post and any comment is always welcome and appreciated. I have been assinged to be the main action photographer for a youth football club, all games will be held on sundays, and since all the fields have no grass only dirt, there will be a lot of light everywhere, so speed will not be a problem. I want to get a zoom lens for this purpose but Im on a tight budget so I cannot afford the end line of nikkor lenses, any recommendations or suggestions on which zoom or prime lens to get?
