Also since you alll were to busy bitching about the "slow AF" ( which is is not, the lens being used also plays a factor in AF speed. AF works really damn good as well) You forgot the OP's real question! The 5DMKII has silent shooting mode in live view. It uses an electronic shutter for the first curtain to cut down on noise from the mirror box(Thats mode#1) In mode #2 you get a electronic shutter and the mirror box DOESN'T"T return until you release the shutter button which means ALMOST TOTALLY SILENT SHOOTING!!!
