External flash for GXR

1. Does anyone have experience with orknow for sure if there is an alternative to the Ricoh GF1 flash such as one of the higher powered METZ flashes that will work in TTL mode on the GXR.
2. In addition has anyone had experience with the METZ 28 CS2 slave type flash on a CX3.
METZ are not expensive in Europe and in fact work out more competitively priced than units from the likes of NIKON & Canon and with superb quality as any Pro Photographer will atest.
