Shutter sound D3s v D700

Does anyone have both of these bodies and can say if there is any significant reduction in shutter noise when the D3s is used in the Quiet mode (I know it's a two stage thing, but is each stage quieter or not)? I am having real issues with noise when shooting in small quiet churches and conference venues with my D700 (brilliant camera though it is in all other aspects). Or any thoughts?
