Adobe never promised perfection. For a lot of people me included don't need absolute perfection. Close enough is good enough.

As for DXO sure they may have next to perfect lens correction, but then their process for perfection is so slow and time consuming that they don't support most lenses with their products.

If I have to choose between perfection and no auto correction (ala DXO) and pretty darn close, the ability to do my own for any lens I want and getting it when I need it. Then I will take Adobe's close enough.
