How good is still the original 1D.

I had to MkII and was in love with both, but had to part with them for different reasons.

Now the price of the original has fallen to a ludicrous 400/450€ and I'm really tempted to grab one wile they're still around.

I hate lots of MP's, so I'm not put off by the 4MP (I usually shoot my more recent DSLR's at mid res anyway !). I'm just after great sharpness, good color.
Is it still interesting to get one of those dinoasaurs ?
