E-PL1 Question on configurable buttons for ISO and F-Stop
May 17, 2010
|
Hello,
I have had the Olympus E-P1 and Pannasonic G1 for a couple of months now and I no longer use my DSLR's, in fact even my Epson R-D1 is gathering a little dust.
I'm liking everything about the E-PL1 and I'm just wondering if the two configurable buttons (the Func and Record buttons) could be set with one button (Func button) to be used to adjust ISO and the other button (Record button) for changing f stops. Since the top most 4-way controller button is already set to adjust EV, if I'm correct then the E-PL1 could be made to work just the way I would want. I do not see any problems at all, in fact IMO this may be better than the 2 dials on my E-P1. I do not like the rotating ring on the E-P1 or for that matter on any of my cameras.
I understand that once pressing the configured Function and Record buttons that I would then be in the menue for ISO and the other button would send me to the Aperture menue and I would need to make my changes. But this is the same as any other camera.
If I'm right about this then I see an E-PL1 purchase in my immediate future.
Thanks -Peter
