Plain talk on 35mm??

I'm bouncing between the 35 2.0 Zeiss and Nikon 35 2.0 AF D lens, Nikon for cost and Zeiss for total quality, MF, is no obsticle.
Would like to hear "plain" talk about these lenses from current and past users.
Its for my D700, and I'll continue using my 24 120 vr for the time being.

I shoot some of my zooms at 35 and like the FOV, on FF, in my film days used a ais 35 2.0 and loved it but as things go I sold it.

My camera "kitty" is still kind of low after the 700 purchase so I have mucho time to decide which 35 best serves me.

If anyone using Zeiss on FF, and Nikon 35 FF which is your feelings, and even the ais 35 1.4? Thanks.
