*** Results MC 188 - The Great Orbs ***

Thank you all for your fine entries and exhibition photos. Thanks also to those of you who helped keep the thread active with your supportive comments on the photos. This felt like my little baby and you all helped keep it healthy and happy. Altogether there were 45 entries and 6 exhibition shots.

The job of deciding between so many great photos wasn’t easy. I asked myself, “Who am I to say which photos are best? Do I look for technical excellence? Interesting elements? Good composition? Or just plain fun to look at photos.”

I had to admit that I might not select the “best” photos. I could only pick a few from the many that I found interesting from my interests, photographic background and perspective.

Here’s a couple I liked from the exhibition shots.

I’ve photographed a few eclipses and appreciate the effort that goes into it. Eclipse photos really give the orb that 3D look.
