After the Nex 3 and 5 were announced recently I felt inspired to design the exterior of a mirror-less full frame camera in the way I wanted it to look like. I wanted a camera that looked like an old 35mm Minolta camera that crossed bred with a newer more modern camera. This model also has a built in vertical/battery grip.
Feel free to post your's or someone else's ideas on camera design and there features.
I know it, its a dream of mine but the main features I want this thing to have would be.
1.this camera would be called the nex 7 or nex 9 or the a950
2. The camera would be large, a little bit bigger than the Mamiya 7 medium format camera
3.mirror less camera
4.18 mega pixel full frame sensor that that can be flipped up to allow light to hit another sensor which is behind the first sensor that is completly dedicated to video.
5. weather sealing
6. fast af
7. at least 8fps
8.Iso from 50-102400
9.low noise
10.fast live view
11. top lcd
12.articulated screen
13. built in retro flash that can articulate like the Panasonic lumix l1. to allow direct for ceiling bounce flash
14. steady shot build inside
15. micro focus adjustment (as advanced as the Olympus version)
16,17,18.............
Sony already has amazing camera's with the a900 and a850, but I want a really want a high end journalism/sports camera.
btw, I know that I maid some mistakes, more noticeably the top lcd panel reads different shutter speeds and aperture from the main screen. And there are some rough triangle areas that I had trouble smoothing out in Google sketch up, and I completely forgot to add the lens release and af control dial lol o well.
(Please note I designed the camera body but not the lens. The lens was maid by acad_whiz: which was posted on the Google sketch up 3d warehouse)
