Will APS-C format will last long ?

the xD was FF and now it is APS-C (7D). An APS-C sensor today is better than a FF sensor a few years ago. APS-C cameras are smaller and lighter. They are cheaper to make...etc.

There will always be a market for FF just as there is for the even larger Medium format, but the future for Canon, Nikon and Sony is APS-C.
