NEX-x - Handheld Twilight Mode in RAW?

I used to have a Sony Wx1 that had the handheld twilight mode and it basically gave you an additional 2.5 stops of high iso performance for still-life subjects. So instead of using iso 2000, I could use merge 6 under-exposed images to get an image with noise levels equivalent to iso400. At least I think - is that calculation right?

If the NEX can do that in RAW, it's still-life low light will beat any APS camera on the market and start to equal my a850 (well at least for still-life low light scenes). That's crazy!

Anyone know if hand-held twilight can produced a merged RAW image?
