Need backup software for external drive

Most external HD's on the market include their own auto-backup software that mostly backs up files and little else. I am looking for backup software that will allow me to mirror my C drive in case of HD failure and allow me to restore my system quickly. That means I need all registry info, etc. Are NovStor NovaBackup Professional products any good ($49)?
