Problems with Epson Premium Glossy printing

I have an Epson 1290 and have profiled my printer for Epson Premium Glossy. The prints are muddy and lacking detail.
If I print with Ilford Gallerie Pearl I get lovely prints.
I print using PS4 with print profile set to 'No colour adjustment' leaving Photoshop to print using the profile.
What is going on?
