Is Nkon experiencing stress?

It's quite funny that Nikon makes new releases of it's high-enf lenses 300/2.8 and 200-400/4 not long since their introduction.
A possible explanation could be that Nikon is "too hot" to get their lenses and cameras to the market and then correct flaws.
That strategy works fine on cameras where a software update can address most of functional issues and behaviors with one exclusion: the sensor itself.
But what about the lenses? They are not patchable like DSLR:s are. Okay, you could get an update to the firmware and maybe improve the autofocus performance in some grade, but the glasses are not upgradable.
The 300/2.8 and 200-400/4 version I were lenses built for digital cameras in the digital age.
This is not that positive as we could initially think. WOW, a new lens from Nikon! But how new is it really? Some performances are made but they could have been introduced in release I too.
