Luminescence Issue EyeOne Display2
Apr 30, 2010

I bought the E1D2 hardware and proceeded to calibrate my 8 year old Dell 1900FP

I noticed that my luminescence will not reach the recommended target values for the recommended lum level of 120 and only reaches the 80 and 90 target values. I have included the calibration summary for lumins: 80, 90, 120(rec.).

The contrast is set to 100% and the brightness is set accordingly to approach the target and maxes at 100% for only the 90 lumin target.

The curve is NOT linear and that concerns me. I don't like the lag at the beginning which might suggest white point setting or LUMINESCENCE ( same thing right????)

So what does this mean at the color lab when I send an image in?

If I use the (2) profiles which reached the luminescent target of 80 and 90 instead of the 120, which is recommended for an LCD will my world end? LOL...

thanks in advance.
