Hiking camera

Hello

I'm so totally confused and have done hours of research but don't feel I'm any closer to choosing the proper camera...Ö

I run a hiking club in Tucson and take ton of pictures and VIDEO'S! In fact, I have over 600 videos on YouTube. I currently own and have been using a Sony DSC-W290. It's a great camera but a bit too fragile. I also don't care for the video quality when I'm moving but maybe I can't get any better with a point and shoot.

I've dropped it many times and finally today after the third time...the lens is jammed open.

So, I'm in search of a camera that will do both stills and video and maybe has some image stabilization.

Bring it on cuz I'm very open for suggestions
