Not impressed with Olympus's New Firmware Updater

For one thing, it doesn't do anything Olympus Master doesn't do. For another, it doesn't do it any better! It still requires your camera is i) connected to your computer and ii) switched on while it downloads the update in "Sweet Time" from Olympus's server while giving no information about progress! I can see instances where a slow peer to peer connection could lead to the camera's batter running out during the software download......

Panasonic's method is superior IMHO.

Still, my E-PL1 is updated and, with its kit lens, my subjective feeling is that focus speed is now approaching that of my G1.
