David Pogue not happy with TX5's photo quality

David Pogue of the NY Times just reviewed the TX5 along with a number of other cameras and one of his conclusions was that the TX5 often requires a lot of post processing work to correct photo quality problems.

The TX5 has the same sensor and lens as the TX7 and the same sensor as the HX5V.

The review was focused on waterproof cameras and the winner was the Panasonic TS2.

He shows several examples of problems in the TX7's photos.

Pogue's reviews are not very technical as they're targeted at the average person however, he usually has a good common sense approach based on actually using the camera. I was leaning towards getting a TX5 or TX7 but am having some second thoughts based on this and some other recent user reviews.
