Any bad words for the 17-55?

Hi all,

I'm on the verge of buying the Canon 17-55 2.8 lens. I've read a lot of good stuff about it here. What are its drawbacks? Colder colors for example?

And an additional question. I own currently 10-22, 18-55 and 50-250 kit lenses, and the nifty-fifty. I do general photography. Would it be wiser to invest in other lenses instead of the 17-55? May be 15-85. I have a flash and a tripod.
